In seguito ad un'esplosione nucleare, il genere umano si è estinto e le città sono state ripopolate da cani e topi mutanti, gli unici sopravvisutti a questa tragedia. Monk, una folle rockstar in declino, vuole ecocare tramite le vibrazioni generate da una particolare sequenza di note detta "Armageddon Key", un potentissimo demone proveniente da un'altra dimensione. Egli è alla ricerca di una voce che riesca ad emettere questa particolare melodia ed il caso vuole che si imbatta in Angel, giovane vocalist in un gruppo di topo punk-rock. La ragazza è l'unica in grado di cantare le fatidiche notr dell'Armageddon Key.
